Valentine Auction for Missionary Support, February 14th
Valentines Day offers many ways to say, “I love you.”
A special way to say “I love you,” is to buy delicious cakes, cookies, pies and bread at our annual Valentine Auction --- February 14th following the 11 o’clock service. If you attend the 9:00 service, you can put your bid on the item you want and return at noon for the main auction. Don’t worry about bringing a dessert (unless the Church in the World Committee has asked you). A table will be filled with delectable items for you to buy.
Why are we doing this?
Christ calls us to be in Mission! We support disciples who work with the poor and oppressed, – prophets such as our missionary, the Reverend Paul Jeffrey. We raise $2,500 each year to fulfill our Covenant with the United Methodist General Board of Global Ministries.
Support our Covenant Missionary, the Reverend Paul Jeffrey
Paul speaks out for God’s justice for those living in situations of injustice, war, and poverty. He does this though his photo-journalist assignments to countries such as the Sudan, Pakistan, Haiti and others where he talks directly with villagers and leaders– to document their stories and take pictures in order that we, too, might be engaged in their struggles and joys.
Paul brings the Mission Story home to us.
He visits our church each year, writes for church magazines, Response, New World Outlook, etc., and sends us newsletters of his mission work.

Paul’s photos bring tears to our eyes and compassion to our hearts. Image to left is Woman With Pot.
His prophetic stories educate and inspire us.
Please attend our auction to say, “We love you, Paul.”
