Super Seniors

On March 11, 23 Super Seniors met in Wesley Hall for our monthly Fellowship meeting.  Our attendance is growing, for which we are thankful.  We have stressed to the membership of the church that you do not have to be in your 90’s to join us, you do not have to have gray hair, or be bald, just a cheerful smile and a warm handshake will get you admission to our Fellowship.

It also helps if you bring your sandwich for lunch.  We always provide dessert and beverages.  By sharing our sandwiches, we have a smorgasbord of selections and always something to please your palate.

At this Fellowship we were treated to a program by Pat McCurry who told us her background as a nurse and a worker in Community Projects and how she became a Parish Nurse.  She explained to us just what her work entails for the church and what she can do to help us with problems.  We thank her for this very informative program.

For a few months our membership had fallen away, and we are thankful that it is beginning to pick back up.  With spring weather coming, we will be able to plan more outings, even though the cost of gasoline may keep us closer to home.  There are many interesting places to visit here in the Rogue Valley, and if you have a suggestion, or have been to something special, please let us know so that we can plan exciting things for our members.  Remember: We may be seniors, but there are no cobwebs on us!
